Heal – Grow – Flourish

Hello, I’m Tanya
Welcome to my website. Deciding to have therapy is a big decision, and choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming.
I aim to simplify things for you.
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and freedom.”
~ Viktor Frankl
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy technique used as an effective treatment for anxiety disorders, panic attacks, OCD, trauma, as well as depression and phobias. CBT focuses on current problems and explores the connections between: THOUGHTS. FEELINGS. BEHAVIOURS.
Unhelpful connections can be developed over time, negatively impacting mental health. By identifying and adjusting these connections, we can allow ourselves space to process situations differently.
CBT has the power to bring about calmness, clarity, and confidence.
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), the independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health, advocates that CBT is the treatment of choice for several mental health difficulties, and SIGN (Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network) also recommend CBT for mental health difficulties.
